And due to the growing popularity of the original Nebula and Quasar video game for the PlayStation 2 in the pervious year, the movie was critically acclaimed and it performed commercially, grossing $2.8 million dollars on a $300 million dollar budget. The movie received positive reviews upon its Spring 2003 release. During their adventures, they stumble upon new allies and powerful bosses sent by the empire. The movie follows the titular duo of Nebula and Quasar as they enter a mission to save the Sun from an intergalactic empire. A CD version was released on October 2 of the same year.
